# How to edit the load number for an order

This guide offers a quick overview of how to edit the load number for an order.

**Introduction:**

Dropboy allows you to edit the load number. If you want to update the automatically generated load number, you can do so. Let's learn how to edit any load number.

### Steps:

1. Open the web portal and log in.

2. Navigate to the **Dispatching** tab and click on it.

3. Navigate to any vehicle **'Tasks List'**.

4. Select the **checkbox** for the order you want to edit.

5. Click on the **three dots icon** on the trip list.

6. The **options** will be visible.

7. Click on the **'Edit load number'** option.

8. The **'Edit load number'** window will open.

9. Change the **name** in the field, e.g., from the existing name to 'Logistic-001'

10. Click on **Confirm** button

11. The **load number** has been updated
