How many types of routing rules sections are provided by Dropboy

This guide offers a quick overview of how many types of routing rules sections are provided by Dropboy.

Introduction

Dropboy provides three types of sections to categorize your rules, making it easier for you to manage and categorize them. These sections are: 'Special rules,' 'Timebound rules,' and 'General rules.'

When you open the Routing Rule tab for the very first time, you will find some default timebound rules. These rules are added for your convenience. You have the flexibility to customize, delete, or add new rules as needed.

Let's understand the different rules sections

1. Special rules Section:

  • Special rules are rules made using the Services and tags field. They are in the highest category and are the first rules that an order tries to match.

2. Timebound rules Section:

  • Timebound rules are created using the date and time option. They are in the second-highest category, and if the special rules don't match, the order will attempt to match with rules in this category.

3. General rules Section:

  • General rules are created using the Zip codes and Cargo based rules option. They are in the last category, and if the any other rules don't match, the order will attempt to match with rules in this category.
