How to create days and time condtion routing rule
This guide offers a quick overview of how to create days and time condtion routing rule.
Date & Time rules are one of five rules where your order is automatically forwarded to a selected option (i.e., trays, networks) when your specified conditions. if all conditions met, trigger auto-forwarding to chosen options. Let's understand these conditions and how to create a routing rule using date & time-based rules.
These fields configure the date & time: 1) 'Match timewindow on' 2) 'Time type' 3) 'Time frame' 4) 'Apply on following days' 5) 'Assign using selected time window'
Open the routing rule form. Follow article for more details: How to open routing rule form
Enter any name under 'Name' field. Follow article for more details: How to search routing rules with 'Name' filter
Select one option from the 'Match timewindow on' dropdown (Options: 'Automatic', 'Pickup address or 'Delivery address').
Pickup address: means that the 'Date and time window' will only match with pickup tasks address. if it matchees then order automtically forward to chosen option.
Delivery address: means that the 'Date and time window' will only match to Delivery tasks address. if it matchees then order automtically forward to chosen option.
Automatic: involves checking both pickup and delivery task addresses. If a match is found with either of these addresses, the condition becomes true. if it matchees then order automtically forward to chosen option.
Select time from first and second time frames.
Select one option from the 'Time type' dropdown (Options: 'Between', 'Before or 'After').
Between: means that the provided time frame should fall within the limits of the first and second time frames. If this matches with orders, the orders will be automatically forwarded.
Before: means that if the order's time is less than your specified second time frame, it will be automatically forwarded.
After: means that if the order's time is greater than your specified first time frame, it will be automatically forwarded.
Select one or more days from the day list box.
If your order's date matches any of the selected weekdays, the order will be automatically forwarded.
Select one option from the 'Assign using selected time window' dropdown (Options: 'Time window start' or 'Time window end').
Time window start: means that it will only compare with the 'time window start' date and time. If there's a match, the order will be forwarded automatically.
Time window end: means that it will only compare with the 'time window end' date and time. If there's a match, the order will be forwarded automatically.
You have successfully added and selected conditions for the date & time rule. Keep in mind that if any of the conditions are not met, the rule will not be effective.
Scroll down and select the "Auto-Forwarding" option. Follow article for more details: How to select auto-forwarding option while creating routing rule
Click on 'CREATE RULE' button.
Tip: You can include multiple rules within a single routing rule.
