What is the load number? how and when do we add it to orders
This guide offers a quick overview of what is the load number? how and when do we add it to orders.
Introduction:
Dropboy allows users to add load numbers to orders. A load number is a unique label assigned to orders before their names. It serves as a distinctive identifier in a sequential manner for all orders, aiding in tracking the order sequence. This becomes particularly helpful when orders have lengthy names, and users can easily recall and manipulate orders using load numbers, especially when printing lists.
How system generated load number automatically?
The load number is generated using the first two characters from the company's name, followed by a numerical sequence starting from 001. For instance, if the company is named 'Logistic Company,' the load numbers will start with Lo-001 for the first order and increment sequentially, like Lo-002 for the second order, and so on.
When we add load number?
After moving orders to the vehicle trip list and setting up the sequence, you are ready to add a load number. It's not mandatory to set up a sequence, but it's good practice. Let's understand how to add a load number.
Remember:
It's essential to be able to modify the load number if an order is rescheduled to another date or trip, as there might be multiple orders with the same label numbers on that particular date.
