What is the major difference between 'Optimize trip' vs 'Trip optimizer+ beta' features

This guide offers a quick overview of the major difference between 'Optimize trip' and 'Trip optimizer+ beta' features.

Introduction:

Dropboy offers two features: 'Optimize trip' and 'Trip optimizer+ beta These are essential and useful for sorting 'Tasks List'. However, these two features differ slightly in the way they sort the orders. Let's explore these differences in this article.

Steps:

Open your ''Tasks List''.

For more details on opening and understanding the ''Tasks List' refer to this article: Understanding and viewing information of 'Tasks List' section under dispatching tab

On the top bar of the 'vehicle trip list,' there are two icons: 1) 'Optimize trip' and 2) 'Trip optimizer+'

1) 'Optimize trip'

'Optimize trip' quickly sorts 'A to B' or 'Via Hub' orders based on next geo location, not considering streets, roads, bridges, or any element that calculates distance on the map. It rearranges orders based on proximity to the 'Starting point location' and also considers the 'End point location.' The first order is the one closest to the starting point, and subsequent orders follow this pattern. The last order is the one nearest to the end point.

What do you mean by 'not considering a road, bridge and any others elements?'

Like an airplane's distance calculation between the USA and Denmark on Google Maps shows a short distance. However, selecting a vehicle may yield a higher distance due to road, bridge traffic, etc. 'Optimize trip' is a quick order sorting based on near distance without considering specific elements but focusing on the start and end points.

Remember: There is no limit, meaning you can sort/optimize an unlimited number of orders for the 'Tasks List'.

2) 'Trip optimizer+ beta'

Dropboy's provides a 'Trip optimizer+ beta' feature efficiently organizes 'A to B' or 'Via Hub' orders, considering factors like distance, encompassing streets, roads, and bridges. It factors in 'Trip starting time, 'Starting point location,' 'End point location,' 'Observe time slots,' and 'Minimize waiting time.'**

Utilizing these criteria, the feature rearranges orders based on their proximity to the 'Starting point location' and the 'End point location.' The initial order is positioned closest to the starting point, followed by subsequent orders arranged by proximity, and the last order is placed nearest to the end point.

This process optimizes the order sequence for efficient trip planning, and any additional orders that do not meet the specified criteria, such as time constraints or those that are impractical for drivers to complete, are directed to the overflow tray.

Remember: There is a limit; you can sort/optimize up to 150 orders for the 'Tasks List'.
