This guide offers a quick overview of how to identify waiting time by setting up the sequence of orders using 'Trip Optimizer+ beta' feature.


Introduction:

Dropboy provides a 'Trip optimizer+ beta' feature that identify waiting time along with organizes 'A to B' or 'Via Hub' orders. Along with setting up the sequence, the system identify waiting time. Learn more about it in this article.

Remember: There is a limit; you can sort/optimize with 'Trip optimizer+ beta' up to 150 orders for the 'Tasks List'.

Steps:



Open the web portal and log in.

If unfamiliar, follow this article: How to login in to the Dropboy web application

Navigate to the Dispatching tab and click on it.



Click on the any vehicle.



The 'Tasks List' opens, and on the map, all order stops become visible with lines. These stops appear according to your orders sequence.

If there is no line on the map between stops, for enabling it, follow this article: How to enable or disable trips path or lines on the map

Click on the 'Trip optimizer+' icon. (Before clicking, take a quick look at the map and the sequence of orders in the vehicle trip list)



The 'Trip optimizer+ beta' factors list will be opened.

'Trip Starting time' is shown.

'Preferred Hub' location is shown.

Click on the dropdown for 'Starting point for trip' and 'Ending point for trip' (If you wish to change the location, note that this will only update the trip list for the selected day).

Click on the 'Select overflow tray' dropdown if you want to change.

Click on "Observe time slots" checkbox



After enabling the 'Observe time slots' checkbox, another checkbox, 'Minimize waiting time', will be enabled.



Click on Confirm button.



Dropboy optimizes the complete 'Tasks List' using 'Trip optimizer+ beta,' considering 'Trip Starting time,' start, and end locations. The total waiting time is also identified and displayed in the 'Trip Total' area.

Notice that the 'Tasks List' has been rearranged, and consequently, the path on the map has changed. (Compare with Step # 04)



Observe that in the 'Trip Total' Details, 'wait acceptance' is enabeled, check the 'Duration' and 'Total waiting time' displayed.



You can disable the 'wait acceptance'. After disabling, the duration will reduce because waiting time is disabled.
