This guide offers a quick overview of how to reduce waiting time by setting up the sequence of orders using 'Trip Optimizer+ beta' feature.

Introduction:

Dropboy provides a 'Trip optimizer+ beta' feature that not only efficiently organizes 'A to B' or 'Via Hub' orders but also identify and reduces waiting time. Along with setting up the sequence, the system minimizes waiting time as much as possible. Learn more about it in this article.

Remember: There is a limit; you can sort/optimize with 'Trip optimizer+ beta' up to 150 orders for the 'Tasks List'.

Steps:

Open the web-portal and log in.

Navigate to the Dispatching tab and click on it.

Click on the any vehicle.

The 'Tasks List' opens, and on the map, all order stops become visible with lines. These stops appear according to your orders sequence.

Click on the 'Trip optimizer+ beta' icon. (Before clicking, take a quick look at the map and the sequence of orders in the 'Tasks List')

The 'Trip optimizer+ beta' factors list will be opened.

'Trip Starting time' is shown.

'Preferred Hub' location is shown.

Click on the dropdown for 'Starting point for trip' and 'Ending point for trip' (If you wish to change the location, note that this will only update the trip list for the selected day).

Click on the 'Select overflow tray' dropdown if you want to change.

Select 'Observe time slots' checkbox, another checkbox, 'Minimize waiting time', will be enabled.

Select the 'Minimize waiting time' checkbox.

Click on Confirm button.

Dropboy optimizes the entire 'Tasks List' with 'Trip optimizer+ beta' factoring in 'Trip Starting time,' start, and end locations, considering time windows, and reducing waiting time as per checkbox selections. If you observe, the 'Trip Starting time' has changed to '6:40,' the system suggests the change, and if you depart at 6:40, then there will be waiting time, as shown in the 'Total Trip' area.

Notice that the 'Tasks List' has been rearranged, and the total waiting time has reduced, resulting in changes to other durations and distances. Consequently, the path on the map has changed. (Compare with Step #04)

Observe that in the 'Trip Total' Details.
