How to change 'Start Point Location' for a vehicle as default

This guide offers a quick overview of how to change 'Start Point location' for a vehicle as default.


Introduction:


Dropboy offers a feature to set or change default 'Start Point location' for a vehicle. This is useful at the vehicle level, as it eliminates the need to set this location daily under the dispatching tab.

Steps:


  1. Open the web portal and log in.


If unfamiliar, follow this article: How to login in to the Dropboy web application


  1. Navigate to the Settings tab, then select the vehicles sub-tab.



  1. Choose the vehicle that you want to set up 'Start Point location'. This depends on your vehicle list.



  1. For example, 'Demo_Vehicle_005'. Click anywhere within the vehicle area.



  1. The vehicle details screen will be opened.



  1. There are four edit icons available and a driver dropdown.



  1. Observe 'Start Point location' under 'Hub and trip locations' and click the third edit icon to change it.



  1. The 'Hub and trip locations' form will be opened.



  1. Click on the 'Preferred starting point trips' dropdown.



  1. Your 'preferred starting point trips' are displayed,


These 'preferred starting point trips' are setup at the company level.If you're not familiar with setting up these locations at the profile level, follow this article: How to create places


  1. Choose the location you want to change **the **'Start Point Location' to default. e.g Dropboy_WareHouse_ Start-Location_01



  1. Click on the save button.



  1. After saving, confirm under the 'Hub and trip locations' area. The 'Start Point location' will be updated.



Remmeber: All locations such as Hub, Start, and End Point Location could be the same. There's no issue with selecting the same location.
